Why?

MOTIVE is an online self-training platform that helps you master university work methods that will help you succeed.

It is the result of a collaborative effort involving teacher-researchers and students, research engineers and educational advisors. MOTIVE has a dual function:

  • To offer you food for thought on your learning methods and your strategies for success at university.
  • To provide you with a training space to develop your cross-curricular skills on various themes such as discovering the university environment, taking notes, documentary research, communication, project management, etc.

How ?

You can access MOTIVE at any time, anywhere. All you have to do is to sign in to the UPdago platform with your university login and password.

At the start of the 2020 university year, MOTIVE is made up of 6 thematic chapters, each one containing multiple modules that progress in order of difficulty. Each module will take between 30-45 minutes to complete. It is possible to select one, or a few, depending on your needs. You can start a module, take a break, and come back to it later if needed.

The chapters are oriented towards a “self-reflective” point of view. They will place you at the centre of the process, allowing you to become aware of your learning methods, your strengths, your needs in terms of training in academic methodology.

Go directly to the MOTIVE chapters to train yourself on the methodology of academic work and help you succeed at university.

Following the MOTIVE modules will allow you to unlock badges that will show your attendance. A leaflet on how to obtain your module certificate is available here:

MOTIVE is the result of a collaborative work between several people from different backgrounds and professions. A total of 8 people were involved to bring this large-scale project to fruition.
