Chapter presentation

Welcome to chapter 11 “Interculturality”.

In a globalized world, developing intercultural skills can be an important asset in your life.

Studying in a multicultural environment, working in a group with international students or traveling abroad all contribute to enriching your university experience. What’s more, it contributes directly to your professional and personal development. In this chapter, we suggest a few ways of thinking about interculturality at university that will enable you to enrich your verbal and non-verbal communication repertoire. This skill invites you to adopt appropriate behaviours and attitudes towards people from other cultural groups.

We offer advice and techniques to help you making it easier to write formal letters to English or Spanish speakers.
